2.3.3 Creating a Platform game

The second project aims at creating a platform game. In it, most of the same points first addressed in the first activity are reviewed and looked into greater detail.

Some similar features that both games share are solved with a different approach, giving the reader a broader range of ways to achieve the programming of the game.

Platform games have been very popular through the years. For the most part, they are linear games that only require skill in moving the character, shooting, jumping and so on along a 2-dimensional world.

For this activity, we'll go directly to build a minimum playable level without decoration, which we'll be added later.

The player will be able to move one character with just three keys, left, right and space, which will make the player character jump.
