Game development is a complex process. In addition to game narrative, rules, mechanics and goals the visual design and actual interaction programming is required.

There are environments that enable visual game development process eliminating the coding part (GameMaker, AppInventor, Scratch, Unity) and making the development process faster.

You will have a chance to learn how to use a few of those tools in this e-learning course.

Gamemaker - Requires to purchase licence. No programming background required.

AppInvertor - Open source. General understanding of algorithms required.

Scratch - Open Source. General understanding of algorithms required.

Unity - Free for non-profit organisations and personal use. General understanding of algorithms and programming required.
