Educational Potential
This leisure app is a flight simulator that can simulate several models of aircraft on any location in the world with a decent detail. The app has potential in two fields:
Exploring areas, landforms, cities and locations of your choose, with a simulated flight
Learning basics of flight.

Both learnings can be achieved by best flight simulators available, but albeit a great cost in both, money spent and learning time (learning how to use every game control). This app is accessible and straightforward to run, and totally free.
The ability to select the location of the simulation is What makes this app interesting. The app can show cities and locations as they are simulated and flown over by the user. Therefore any location, cordillera or landform which needs to be studied can be best known by simulating a fly over it.

The application has a navigation panel (hidden at the beginnig). This panel allows the user to know where he is, to locate runways to land and to select where he wants to start the flight (even mid-air). It is almost a requirement to use this navigation panel to make the best of the app. This potentially makes the user very capable of reading maps and orient himself.

The app however is also helpful in learning how to use a simulator of several kinds (flight, drive, machinery, etc). As a first introduction to those kind of applications, GeoFS is an easy approach to discover the basics.

As a typical leisure app for curious people, the main risk is to waste large amounts of time just flying. For students this is serious risk to be taken.
Learning Object / Suggested activities with students
In Geography, this app can be used as an alternative method to know about the size or span of mountain cordilleras or other landforms, by flying them with planes, the sizes of cities and shapes of them, to explore coastal regions, or singular landforms
As a sample activity, the teacher could engage students into estimating the width of the irrigated land that the Nile waters by taking a simulated flight around "Cairo"

Cities and monuments can also be explored, though they are seen with less detail and are difficult to examine as the plane needs to be moving at high speeds
The app can also be used to show the basics of plane piloting.
